Jeremy A Bruner, Certified Cicerone®

Jeremy Bruner is a Conway, Arkansas native who spent several years developing his love of craft beer in the pubs and eateries of Chicago, before starting a family and moving back to his hometown.  He discovered a beer scene in Central Arkansas that is burgeoning, but somewhat lacking in the area of professional expertise.  Jeremy earned the Certified Cicerone® certification in March 2015, and has set out not only to educate about the amazing, infinite world of beer, but to improve the experience of beer drinkers in local neighborhoods and beyond. As of August 2017, Jeremy is one of only eight Certified Cicerones® in the state of Arkansas.


Infinite Bruner provides an independent, expert resource for beer education and consultation, to create the best possible experience for the beer consumer.

As a Certified Cicerone®, my primary job is to create the best possible experience for consumers of beer.  In short, I want to make sure that when you order a beer, at a brewery, restaurant, bar, or retail store, you will have (1) your beer poured correctly, (2) from properly maintained draft lines or bottles/cans, (3) at the correct temperature, (4) into an appropriate glass.

The way to achieve this goal is through education, of both the consumer and the seller. The seller must be aware of certain standards and meet them, and the consumer must know when those standards are not being met.  An establishment will only do what its customers allow it to do; our demands are met when not meeting them impacts the bottom line.

As an independent educator and consultant, I am a unique resource for both consumers and sellers of beer, and provide services that are mutually beneficial to both. 

Sellers: Beer program design and implementation, menu pairings, staff training, and general beer education are all ways that I can help you create the best possible experience for your customers.

Consumers: Guided tastings and Q&A, event planning and consultation, beer evaluation training, and general beer education are all ways I can help you ensure you get the most out of the beer in your glass.

The Certified Cicerone® designation is awarded by the Cicerone® Certification Program ( in Chicago, Illinois.  Per the program, “those who achieve this certification have a deep and well-rounded knowledge of beer and beer service as well as competence in assessing beer quality and identity by taste.”

Part of this, of course, means that I passed a test and was awarded a certificate.  But what that represents is the extraordinary amount of time I have spent studying beer and beer styles (including tasting many, many beers… terrible, I know), beer service and presentation, food pairing, and the brewing process.  I am still learning, every day, and hope I can help you do the same.
